During his early tenure, Belichick clarified why he requested UNC’s communications staff to copy Hudson on emails. “I sent an email when I got here, and I said, Can you please forward any requests to Jordon about my personal appearances so that I can work and coordinate them outside the university?” Belichick told the WSJ. He insisted the leak claiming she was copied on every email was “just a flat-out lie.” The split last year suggests these tensions finally became too much to ignore.
