Scottie Scheffler is simply too dominant for his regular competition in Dallas money matches. While the PGA Tour provides the big stages, his home club matches show a level of separation that is almost unfair. He is essentially cleaning out the wallets of his peers when the stakes are personal.

According to Golf Channel, Si Woo Kim is one of the frequent victims of this dominance during these home matches in Texas. It is not just about winning; it is about the sheer gap in skill. When you play against the best in the world in a casual setting, you are essentially paying for his lifestyle.

The struggle of the competitive professional

It is easy to forget that even the world’s best players deal with real-world exhaustion. Scheffler is currently managing a heavy load at home. He has two young children, including 2-year-old Bennett and a son named Remy who arrived on March 27.

The physical toll of being a parent is real. Scheffler admitted to the difficulty of this stage of life. Having two young kids and caring for them is extremely difficult at this stage of my life, yes. Scheffler told ESPN that anyone with young children can relate because you are literally tired all the time.

He also noted that his wife, Meredith, travels to many of these tournaments with him. This lifestyle is a constant “balancing act,” according to reports.

Resilience despite the virus

Even when health issues arise, his dominance remains intact. Scheffler recently fought through hand, foot and mouth disease. This viral illness can be brutal for adults too. Gary Woodland noted the difficulty of the situation, stating that his own children dealt with the illness and that it “is awful.”

The physical impact was visible during the BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club. Scheffler struggled with pain when trying to hold his clubs. However, he is recovering well. “Good. I’d say I’m at like 95%,” Scheffler told ESPN on Wednesday, according to ESPN Golf.

He mentioned that the sole remaining issue could be “maybe just still a couple of sores in my throat” Despite the physical discomfort, his ability to remain at the top of the game is unmatched. He is heading into the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club with a high level of confidence.
