A Dodgers fan caught a foul ball Wednesday and refused to give it to a crying Braves kid. Here is where to watch Game 4 and why the etiquette fight matters.

The Switch Is Done

No. 15 Tennessee will start George MacIntyre against Arkansas this Saturday instead of Faizon Brandon. This decision comes after a win over Auburn where the sophomore took over mid-game. The team saw better results when MacIntyre ran the show. Faizon Brandon could miss time due to a shoulder injury he suffered against Texas.

Coach Josh Heupel made the call to bench Brandon after he struggled in the second quarter of the Auburn game. Brandon threw an interception and failed to move the ball downfield. Completing 8 of 10 passes for 86 yards, MacIntyre stepped in. The offense needed that spark to secure the 24-14 victory.

Why The Change Was Needed

The numbers tell the story of why Brandon could not stay in the game. He started 3 of 8 passes for zero yards and threw an interception against Auburn. Before that, he had not passed for 200 yards in any of the last three games. Against top-ranked Texas, he was sacked 10 times while throwing for 145 yards.

MacIntyre, a four-star recruit from the class of 2025, offers a different look. The nation’s No. 16 ranked quarterback was also Tennessee’s No. 4 prospect. His performance against Auburn showed he can handle the pressure. DeSean Bishop’s 220 rushing yards and three touchdowns contributed to the team victory.

Coach Heupel explained the situation clearly during his press conference. He remarked that (Brandon) understood his physical struggles prevented him from performing at his best. This quote confirms the injury was real and affecting Brandon’s play. The team cannot risk a starter who is not at 100 percent.

Arkansas comes into this game with a weak defense that gives up 28.4 points per game. They are at the bottom of the SEC in most defensive metrics. This is the perfect spot for MacIntyre to make his first career start. The Volunteers are 4-1 and looking to improve their standing in the conference.

The next big test will be against No. 6 Alabama on October 17. If MacIntyre plays well against Arkansas, he might keep the starting job even if Brandon gets healthy. The team faces a choice between sticking with a healthy but struggling Brandon or riding the hot hand of MacIntyre. The road to Alabama starts with a win in Fayetteville on October 10.

CBS Sports reported that sources confirmed MacIntyre will start. CBS Sports also noted the QB situation could get interesting. The decision is final for now. Tennessee needs to protect their quarterback position and build momentum. Starting MacIntyre is the safest bet for a win this weekend.

The team will face an Arkansas defense that is struggling to stop opponents. MacIntyre has the talent to exploit those weaknesses. Brandon’s injury history is a concern for the future. The coach must prioritize the team’s success over loyalty to a freshman who is hurt. The fans will see a new face under center on Saturday.

The Path Forward

Four options exist for how this quarterback situation could play out. MacIntyre could be a short-term substitute until Brandon recovers. He could keep the job if he continues to play well. The two might share time in a two-quarterback system. Or the competition could start all over again.

The answer will come soon as the season moves forward. The Volunteers play Arkansas on October 10 at 4:15 p.m. ET. This game will set the tone for the rest of the season. MacIntyre has the chance to prove he is the right leader for the team. The decision to switch quarterbacks was necessary and timely.
